I feel the need to share this with everyone. I never realized that Lyme Disease was as common as it really is. Please, please take a moment to watch this whole entire video.
I had Lyme disease back in 1989, when most doctors knew little about it. It took almost a year to get a diagnosis and two more years to be treated. It's so important for people to be educated!
Thank you SO much for posting this Melissa! Unfortunately, not a lot of people know that LD even exists! It's so, so, SO important to spread this awareness!
Mel...I am so grateful to you for doing this. I was afraid you might think was pushing or soliciting... I had no idea YOU had it too! There are so many sick...so many who don't know really much about Lyme at all...and especially do not know how to avoid it by taking the RIGHT precautions. Or truly know the potential for disability and catastrophic medical consequences physically and financially.... What it CAN do to you or especially our kids (who are at more risk as they play outside more where ticks are---parks, campgrounds, soccer fields, etc.) As Kayla said, THANK you SO SO much for helping to educate and save others from this horrible disease. It truly DOES suck the life out of you...as you know. So glad you got help and treatment!
