Bake Me a Wish sent me the Chocolate Mousse Torte Cake to try out. It has two chocolate layers with chocolate whipped cream mousse in between. That’s covered with milk chocolate frosting and a dark chocolate glaze and garnished with fudge rosettes and dark chocolate shaves.
It arrived to my house beautifully packaged, just like a gift. It felt like my birthday! They even included an Easter card, which I thought was the perfect touch. The people at Bake Me a Wish sure do know how to make someone feel special!
We were supposed to have friends over for dinner the night it arrived and I was telling N all about the delicious looking cake that came. since she’s a chocoholic, I promised her that would be dessert! Well her fiance ended up not feeling well, so we had to make the get together for the next day. Do you realize how hard it was to leave that cake alone in the fridge? It looked so lonely sitting there all by itself. I just wanted to tear into it! it was hard to keep the kids away too, especially Lil Man!
Luckily they came over the next day for dinner and we were finally able to indulge in all that chocolaty goodness! Now I am horrible at cutting cakes, so my pieces didn’t look quite as nice as this, but I’m sure that didn’t affect the taste whatsoever. I sat down with my big glass of milk and plate full of cake and dug in. It was delicious! Every bite was nothing but chocolaty goodness, YUM!
