Gear Up for Summer - Backyard Safari Outfitters Review

My boys LOVE the outdoors. They spend the majority of the warmer months out there. Heck, they're even outside a lot in the winter. I guess they don't get as cold as I do!

When Team Mom asked me to gear up for an adventure with Backyard Safari Outfitters, I was definitely game. I knew Lil Man would just have a blast with all the stuff!

Our kit included the Cargo Vest, Mega View Periscope and Bug Vacuum. The Backyard Safari Outfitters Essential Field Gear Cargo Vest features 4 cargo pockets with velcro closures and 2 over-sized mesh-net cargo pockets in rear among other things. It's perfect to carry all of his things when he goes on an outdoor mission in the backyard. It's really durable too and is just absolutely adorable! I wish he would stop growing so he could play with this kind of stuff forever!

The Backyard Safari Outfitters Land & Water Mega View Periscope is just the coolest thing ever. The full-view periscope allows you to see over bushes, fences and around corners. You can even flip it upside down and submerge it in the water so you can view what's under a dock or watch fish swimming around. We haven't had a chance to try that latest feature yet, but we definitely will! So far he's had a blast looking over our grape vines in the backyard into the neighbors yard. Don't worry, she's an older lady and loves our kids, so I don't have a Peeping Tom on my hands! He just thinks it's so awesome to be able to see things that he wouldn't otherwise. Heck, even I can't see over the garage!



Now, the Backyard Safari Outfitters Bug Wrangler's Extreme Suction Bug Vacuum is the absolute coolest thing ever! Lil Man is not the only one who's had fun playing with this thing. We've had quite a few adults play around with it too, including me!

It's just so cool. You vacuum the bug up and close the little magnifying glass so you can see it up close. I will admit, some most of those things are pretty darn ugly up close! It even comes with an extra catch and release capture core so you can have more fun!
