4th of July Weekend In Photos

I promised pics from last weekend and here they are!

Saturday we went on the boat and took it down to SummerFest. There was some kind of kite flying event going on a a park downtown and I got some great shots. The dragonfly and octopus kites were HUGE and amazing! Then we traveled the Milwaukee River and watched the US Bank fireworks later that night. They were amazing fireworks, lasting about 40 minutes! They had fireworks lined across the shore and on 2 huge barges in the water!

I miss going to Summerfest. US Bank always had pretty good fireworks. I bet the view from the boats were really awesome too. The kites were gorgeous. Your not kidding that dragon fly one looks huge.

WOW...we have always wanted to watch the fireworks from the lakes here in Madison...but is TOO crowded. Now I see this and think it would be worth the wait for crowds to move. WOW...so beautiful Mel! WHAT camera did you use?

What a marvelous weekend you had. I would love to have been there, and you photos of the fireworks are fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing.
(BTW, I may be an idiot, but I don't remember you background being blue. I really love it, if it was, just ignore me. If you recently changed it - great choice!)
