Samsung M340 from Common Cents Mobile Review

In this day and age everyone needs a cell phone. Let's face it. They're just easier. You know, we don't even have a land line in our house. We haven't had one for years. There's really no use for one for us, so we just use our cell phones.

Well now the kids are older and Big Bro wants to call his friends here and there. I really don't want a land line because of the added expense and just basically because we wouldn't get much use out of it. It would be a pointless expense to me.

When I found out about Common Cents Mobile and was asked to do a review, I thought it would be a great idea. I figured a prepaid cell phone would be great for the kids because I could really monitor their usage. They've also been wanting to go to the park two blocks away by themselves and being the over protective mom that I am, I always say no. Well now, we have let them go a couple of times because they have a phone to take with them. I can call them and they can get in touch with me in case something were to happen.

We received the Samsung M340, which is one of the nicer phones I've seen available for a prepaid one. Here's a little bit of information about it.

"Camera phone without the contract. The handy Samsung M340 features an external display, text and picture messaging, Bluetooth®, and USB. With Common Cents, you can get this stylisth flip phone without emptying your bank account."

With Common Cents Mobile, you actually spend much less money that other prepaid plans. Common Cents Mobile charges 7 cents per minute with Round Down Minutes. That means that if you talk for 1 minute and 46 seconds, you will be charged for 1 minute instead of 2 minutes. They have different Pay As You Go Plans starting at just $20 per month.

There are also different phone options. You can get more inexpensive basic phones or even one you can go online with.

The only complaint that I have is the hell I went through activating it. I did it online and apparently the website crashed when I was doing it, so it was a huge mess. However, I haven't had any more issues since those problems have been taken care of. In fact, my dad is thinking about getting the same phone and plan.

I totally agree that cell phones, sadly, are a necessity these days. I mean you could probably live without one if you really tried, but not a lot of people do.

Great review!!
