Leap into Spring - Eli's Cheesecake Dream Team Cheesecake Sampler Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

It's just absolutely delicious cheesecake! Doesn't the Chi-Town Sampler to the left just look scrumptious? White Chocolate Raspberry and Turtle are my favorite cheesecake flavors besides plain. This sampler also includes Belgian Chocolate. Yum, yum, yum! I'm hungry for cheesecake now. Are you?

Eli's Cheesecake has so many different cheesecake varieties it's amazing. I was actually pretty surprised to see so many different ones. They do offer quite a few different Cheesecake Samplers which is a wonderful way to try out some of the different flavors.

I received the Dream Team Cheesecake Sampler shown above for my review. The Dream Team Cheesecake Sampler is four pounds, hand-decorated and crowned with loads of luscious toppings. Flavors included are Perfectly Praline, Triple Chocolate Truffle and Strawberry Cheesecakes.

My cheesecake looked so delicious and mouth watering I almost couldn't wait until dessert. It was hard to do, but well worth the wait! I tried the strawberry first and it was absolutely scrumptious! Next {don't worry, the next day} I tried the Perfectly Praline and I fell in love! It was so delicious, I savored every last bite of that baby! The Triple Chocolate Truffle was the last one I tried and it was extremely rich, but totally yummy. Good thing I though it might be and poured a glass of milk beforehand!

This was such a cute movie! I just loved it! It was about a young witch who had to leave home for a year in search of herself and her witchiness. We got to watch as Kiki discovered a whole new world with different people. Thankfully she soon found friendship along the way!

Kiki’s Delivery Service Special Edition is full of laughter and shows off Kiki's kindness. She's a wonderful girl who is always trying to help others. And her cat is just the cutest!

Leap into Spring - Original HEXBUG Alpha Review and HEXBUG Nano Giveaway {CLOSED}

HEXBUG

The HEXBUG is a fun little robotic creature that acts like a bug. There are quite a few different ones and they are just the funnest toys ever! These little critters are definitely a must have for Easter baskets this year! They are kid, mom and dad approved in this house!

HEXBUG feels its way around sensing objects in its path and avoiding them. And it can even hear! You can control where it scurries through a hand clap, loud noise or table slap. The robotic bug will travel forward until it hits an obstacle or hears a loud noise. It will then backup in a half circle and then move forward in a different direction. HEXBUG comes in five distinct shapes and colors.

We were sent an Original HEXBUG: Alpha to test out. I have to say, this thing is awesome! It;s like a giant bug and it crawls around all over the place. If it comes to an obstacle, it backs up! Imagine that! Then it walks backwards for a few seconds before going forward again. It's funny that these little things can literally give us hours of entertainment!

This past winter we were able to try the HEXBUG Nano too. We have had fun with these things for months. In fact one night we had some friends over and the HEXBUG Nanos joined in the party creating entertainment for quite some time as everyone watched them crawl around the table.

There are even more HEXBUG varieties to choose from and I can't wait to get every one. My kids love them. Us adults have just as much fun with them and they're cheap enough to buy "just because".

He Kissed a Girl

This sweet ~~not so~~ innocent little boy got busted out by his brother for kissing his girlfriend. In. his. bedroom!

They're kids, they're young. I saw no problem with them hanging out and "thinking" they're boyfriend and girlfriend. I really didn't think they'd end up kissing in his bedroom.

Maybe I'm naive. I must be.

It was not so long ago that I carried him in my stomach for 9 months. 10 1/2 years ago to be exact.

Although I can't stand the thought, I know that he's not my "baby" anymore. But can't he still be a kid? I don't want him to grow up too fast. I want him to have fun. I want him to enjoy life. I think he's too young to be into girls. At least not kissing them. Especially not while they're supposed to be playing together like good kids.

I guess that's the last time I trust them to play alone in the bedroom.

They sent me a pair of their lounge socks for my review and I have to say, they are the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. They are so so so soft and feel oh so great on my feet. Coming from me, that's saying a lot. Really. I usually hate socks. I only wear them when I have to, when I'm not at home. Come summer time, the socks are stashed away in my dresser for months. Unless of course I'm camping. That's a whole different story.

These socks from Karen Neuburger are like no other. They're chenille, which has got to be one of my favorite materials of all time. Imagine the softness of chenille on your feet! Such a wonderful feeling indeed.

I was extremely lucky a few weeks ago because Karen Neuburger had an event going on in my city. I was able to go to the event and check out some of their current products. I was able to see and touch many pieces from their current line, which are just wonderful. I got a goody bag with a pair of socks and pajamas in it. The pajamas are so soft and comfortable. The fabric is wonderful, even after washing them.

I was also able to preview their new line which will be coming out soon. The new designs are breathtaking! It's loungewear with style, totally stuff that you could wear in front of people and not be embarrassed about being in your pj's. I can't wait until the stuff comes out. I'm definitely going to have to snag some stuff up!

Browsing through Photo Card Creations, I couldn't help but fall in love with so many of their invitations and announcements. What sets us apart?
There are four major qualities that set us apart from our larger competitors, enabling us to outpace them, the industry, and the overall economy.

First, we have an earned respect. There is a sense that our enterprise is special in what it stands for, what it does, and how we do it. This shows itself in the uncommon efforts and contributions - not only from those who work here, but also those with whom we work.
Second, we have honest enthusiasm that spills over to those with whom we do business - from current and prospective employees, to customers and suppliers.
Third, we have a culture of inclusiveness. We communicate just about everything to everyone in our organization, empowering them as partners in our endeavor. Strategies, plans, ambitions, and challenges aren't restricted to small circles behind closed doors - they're known, understood, and appreciated throughout our company.
Fourth, making money in itself is not our highest priority. We view profit and wealth-creation as inevitable byproducts of doing things well.

I love to bake. I've been doing it since I was about 12 years old, even sooner if my Easy Bake oven counts! I bake cookies from scratch all the time, however the opposite is true for cakes. While my cakes turn out delicious, I am a by the box cake baker and would most likely screw one up from scratch.

King Arthur Flour has cake mixes that surpass your average grocery store cake mix. They have cake mix with flavors such as Apple Cider Pound Cake, Crumb Cake and Pineapple Magic Cake. I had the chance to try the Pineapple Magic Cake Mix. At first I thought it would be a little bit more difficult than it actually was, but that wasn't so. It was just as easy as any other cake mixes, just with different {and more} steps. Total preparation time took maybe 15 minutes. That's pretty quick for a specialty cake, I think.

I will admit, I was a little bit skeptical on how this would turn out and especially how it would taste. I was surprised when I bit into the cake that it was amazingly delicious. I mean, delicious! This cake tasted wonderful and I have never tasted anything like it.
