Ok so really, who doesn't love comics? I've been reading newspaper comics since I was a little kid. I worked as a security guard for a few years and Sundays were super slow. I read the paper all day and of course, started of with the comics!

My kids have a love for comics too and they got a selection to read {and of course one for each of their stockings}! One of the comic books they got right away was Little Green Men and the love it!

Megamind is another good one they just have a blast reading. My favorite thing about these comic books, is that the kids are actually excited to read them! They spend 20 minutes a day with their comics and they don't even think of it as learning. It's just fun for them!

Fashion to Figure is a great spot to find quality and affordable fashion for plus sizes. I totally got lost in the site trying to find the perfect thing for me to review. There were just so many cute options to choose from!

I finally decided on this Shadow Stripe Cropped Blouse because I thought it would look great on me! I couldn't resist trying it on the second it arrived because it really was just so much cuter in person. Right away, I noticed the fit. It was great! Nothing clung to me, it just draped nicely across my body. I wore a white cami underneath because is is kind of thin and see through.

I was really surprised at how many compliments I got the first time I wore it out. everyone just adored it and said it looked great ore me. I really love how the sleeves kind of fold up. It gives it added style. This particular shirt isn't available on the site anymore, but there are a ton of other cute ones to choose from, as well as denim and dresses.

I love flowers. Absolutely, positively adore them! Sadly, I don't get them very often. My poor guy doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. I guess you just can't have it all, can you?

All the sudden the doorbell rang one day. There's a man standing there with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers for me. Yes, me! How exciting, right?

I got my flowers 2 weeks ago and almost the whole bouquet is still alive! The roses and tulips died off last week, but even those lasted for a full week!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving.

What is Thanksgiving to you?

Thanksgiving to me is a time where I especially appreciate all that I have to be thankful for in my life. While all of the hard work and time that goes into making the big ole feast has it's downsides, it still isn't just an ordinary day to me.

It's a time that I am especially thankful for my little family that I made. A family that sometimes I may not seem to appreciate enough. Life is stressful, there's not enough time in a day and I'm just too busy to show them every day how much I really appreciate them. Yes, I say "I love you" to all of them daily, but maybe it should be more than that.

I am thankful that I have this little family, that we are mostly happy and that we love each other so much. I am thankful that they have helped make me into the woman that I am today, instead of the lost little girl that I was when it all began.

I am thankful that they all love me so unconditionally, that they can put up with the not so pleasant side of me.

Of course, I'm thankful for a roof over my head, clothes to wear and food to eat too. But really, without these three amazing "men" in my life, none of that would even matter.

I have always been intrigued by Origami. When I was in about 8th grade, all of the foreign language classes switched up and my Spanish class got to learn Japanese for a day. Besides learning some of the letters and how to say a few words, we also learned to make Origami. I think we made a bird, but it was so long ago that I just really don't remember.

I have been having such a blast trying to create Origami lately with the help of World's Best Origami. I'm not the greatest, but I'm getting there! The step by step directions really do help!
