I’ll admit it- I completely forgot about Baby Magic. I did, I forgot about a brand that my mother used on myself, my sister and my brother too. There are so many new bath time products out there now- I simply forgot about a simple standby that treated us so very well all those years ago. I’m thrilled to say that due to their new product, the Patty Cake Dustless Baby Powder, we have been reacquainted.

I like using baby powder, but I know that you’re really not supposed to use it any more due to the inhalation hazards associated with traditional bottles. I would gingerly apply talc-free powder when necessary to the creases in the upper legs of one of the boys if they appeared red or chafed. You get a neat little compact, with soft round swabs in their own storage area underneath- to smooth on the powder and then apply to your child. Think of how you apply pressed facial powder- it’s brilliant, really! You can smooth the powder all over your baby without any dust cloud or excess powder all over the place. It’s small, compact, and easy. I’m sold- this is my new baby powder go to!
The only con I see is that you have to keep using a new swab for sanitary reasons- so that means you should stock up on them. They aren’t expensive- they are those plain white round makeup things that I remember my grandmother using. So besides having to make sure you keep those on hand and stocked in the storage area on the compact, that’s the only negative. You are given a few to get you started though.
