Living the THIN LIFE Book Review and Coupon

I am always struggling with weight loss.  It seems I would lose it, gain it back and then some, lose it, gain it back and then some, lose it, gain......you get the message.  Currently, I am stuck at my weight loss attempt.  I lost 40 pounds and have 40 more to go and for months I just can't seem to lose anymore.  I was thrilled to be able to review the book Living the Thin Life.

"Elle Meyer, author of Living the Thin Life, lost weight over ten years ago and has kept it off ever since.  In Living the Thin Life, she tells her story of learning to maintain her ideal weight.  The book includes lots of real life tips on eating, exercise, and motivation.  These ideas came from her own experience as well as from the many people she interviewed who have successfully lost and maintained their weight.  The book also includes over 50 healthy recipes with nutritional information."
In this book, you will find:
  • Useful (and motivational!) tips
  • How to identify your own eating personality
  • Detailed guides on how to customize your plan
  • Quizzes
  • Success stories from real people who have lost weight and kept it off

Part One - Pep Talk (chapters 1 - 3), is just what I need.  Elle discusses different motivators, the fact there are no excuses and what to do when temptation hits (and we all know if does).  At the end of each of the three chapters, you are asked to complete certain sections of My Personal Plan Worksheet.

The next step is determining your ideal weight and identifying what type you are.  Elle has an unique way of linking an animal to your eating personality type.  I am a Kola! Part Three - Fill up on Food Tips (chapter 6 - 7) discusses different types of food tips cross-referenced by animal type.  So I need to focus on the tips that have the Kola.  This allows me to focus on those specific tips that are related to my eating personality type (one size, or animal, doesn't fit all!).  No surprise to me....I need to eliminate sweets and starchy foods.

The first two sentences of Part Four - Energize with Exercise (chapters 8 - 9), were written for me. "Let's face it: you can't really maintain a healthy weight unless you exercise. There's just no way around it - you know you have to do it."  The task you complete at the end of this chapter on My Personal Plan Worksheet is the hardest one for me to complete and stick to it.  I know that and have to overcome it.  Chapter 9 is filled with wonderful exercise strategies.

Who isn't in need of tips and tricks while losing weight? Part Five - Putting it all Together (chapter 10 - 11), contains fabulous tips and tricks and examples of the Personal Plan Worksheet.  The tips and tricks chapter is a great chapter to review often.  It helps keep everything in check and will help keep you going in the right direction to Living a Thin Life!

Don't forget to use the Appendices.  There is the My Personal Plan Worksheet template, sample food logs and tons of recipes.
