I was sent the Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix, Chocolate Funfetti and Pumpkin Cookie Mixes for review.
The first thing we tried was the pumpkin cookies and man, were they good. My son made them pretty much on his own (with my supervision, of course) and we frosted them with cream cheese frosting. They tasted just like this pumpkin roll my mom makes, only so much easier to make.
We made ice cream sandwiches out of the Chocolate Funfetti Cookies and they were great. They kept a bit of softness on the inside even after freezing. These were the kids favorites. My husband liked the brownies the best. I was afraid that they would be sharp or bitter because of the dark chocolate, but they weren't at all. They were really fudgey and that's how we like our brownies.
My stepdad's birthday is coming up and he is diabetic, so I'm going to try the Sugar-Free mixes and frostings next. Then I'll send in our moment of celebration and you never know, maybe we'll end up celebrating in Celebration, Florida!
