Blamtastic Lip Balm for Guys and Girls Review

I am a lip balm fanatic. Although if you're regular reader I bet you already knew that! Didn't you?

Well I have another Lip Balm company to share with you and this one is hot! Blamtastic was started by a mother and her two daughters and features wacky flavors and cool designs.

We were sent an assortment of Blamtastic Potent Lip Balm for Guys to check out and review. I'm not above trying things that are meant for guys, so I tested these lip balms out right with the kids.

I really really like the Blamtastic lip balm. It makes my lips super soft and moist and it tastes great! It's really long lasting and totally made my top favorite lip balm list. My favorite is the Alien Invasion - Green Apple. I bet the girls flavors are even better though!

Since Blamtastic was made with kids in mind and of course for kids {and moms like me who just can't resist them}, the even have Blam Sleeves that you can clip to your backpack, belt or purse so you'll never lose it!

With fun flavors such as Cherry Nilla, OMG {Oh My Grape} and Blue Raz, these delicious lip balms are sure to entice just about any kid.

Buy It!

Blamtastic Lip Balms are available for $2.99 each.

Kids Say - It's All About the Eyes 1/30

Photobucket

Kids say the funniest things sometimes, so this weekly tribute is all about them. If you'd like to play along just grab the button code and write your own "Kids Say" post. Don't forget to come back here to link up every Sunday so everyone can check out your post, and you can visit other "Kids Say" posts!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As a mom, I pay close attention to what's going on. I can be in the other room, but still know what the kids are doing. The always wondered how, so I started telling them that I have eyes in the back of my head. They bought it. For years they bought it. I loved it. It was just hilarious!
So Tuesday we're at the Dr's office and Big Bro is sitting on the exam table. Then he just busts out with this:
Big Bro: I always knew you didn't have eyes in the back of your head.
Me: Oh Yeah?
Big Bro: Yeah, I figured that out 2 years ago. I moved your hair and checked while you were sleeping.
I just think it's funny that he actually checked!
"The greatest love story ever told, starring...garden gnomes? In the upcoming “Gnomeo & Juliet,” Shakespeare's revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall makeover. Directed by Kelly Asbury (“Shrek 2”) and showcasing both classic and original songs by Elton John, the film features the voices of James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as Gnomeo and Juliet, who have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors. But with plastic pink flamingos and thrilling lawnmower races in the mix, can this young couple find lasting happiness?
Two garden gnomes, Gnomeo (voice of James McAvoy) and Juliet (voice of Emily Blunt), try to avoid tragedy and find a happy ending to their star-crossed love affair when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors."
Hoodwinked Blue-ray/DVD Movie Review
"In a new spin on the beloved fairy tale, Red, Granny, the Big Bad Wolf and the Woodsman, all face Detective Flippers as he attempts to determine the “real” events of the Little Red Riding Hood story. Original songs and witty humor fill this fun and adventurous film."
We love kids movies around here. Of course that seems normal because I do have children myself. However, that's not the only reason that I watch them. In fact, I have always had a movie collection that did include kids movies. This collection continued after I was a child myself and before I had children of my own. What can I say, I'm a kid at heart!
Hoodwinked is a hilarious take on an old tale. Such an old tale, that it's been around for as long as I can remember.
In this new version Hoodwinked, Red's Granny makes yummy treats and sells them across the land. It seems the whole forest makes other treats too and someone is trying to sabotage them all. This is a classic, but super funny tale of "Who done it" and the sheriff seems as clueless as clueless gets.
We all enjoyed Hoodwinked and thought it was an excellent funny movie for the family. My favorite character is Red, while Big Bro's is The Big Bad Wolf and Lil Man's is Granny.
Buy It!
You can buy Hoodwinked Blu-ray/ DVD Combo for $18.99 at Amazon.com.
Aloha Friday - Super Bowl
Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that you take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question this week is:
Who are you rooting for to win the Super Bowl?
I'm not a huge football fan but since I am from Wisconsin, I have to root for the Packers.
Lil Man's Getting His Rod Out
Lil Man gets the rod out of his arm tomorrow. We have to be there at 7:45 AM and his surgery is scheduled at 9:45. The Dr said his bone looked great at the appointment last week, so he shouldn't have any issues because of it in the future. I'm hoping for no more broken bones period, but we'll have to wait that one out! The kid is a clutz after all.
Wish him luck!
Tyson Grilled & Ready Frozen Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Strips Review
I love making meal time easier on me. Don't get me wrong, I do love to cook and I cook just about every night. Sometimes the Man does the cooking too. However, some days I really appreciate an easy out without having to spend a fortune ordering out. I have found something easy enough to make that is pretty good for us too!
"Tyson® Grilled & Ready™ Frozen Chicken Breast Fillets and Grilled & Ready Frozen and Refrigerated Chicken Breast Strips are fully cooked and perfectly portioned for your favorite recipes, hot or cold. They're a delicious, healthy addition to salads, sauces, and soups.
These tender and juicy fillets and strips make it easy to add variety to party appetizers or dinner. They're everything you love about fresh chicken, ready in half the time.
Tyson Grilled & Ready Frozen and Refrigerated Chicken Breast Strips:
* Perfectly-cooked grilled chicken ready in just minutes
* 98 Percent fat free with no preservatives*
* Tender and juicy right out of the microwave"
A few weeks ago we were planning to make Chicken Cacciatore for dinner. Come dinner time, neither of us really felt like making it because it takes so long to cook the chicken, cut it up etc etc. The Man grabbed the bag of Tyson Grilled & Ready Frozen Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Strips out of the freezer and I was like "No way, those are for salads and stuff, not something like this. I want this to taste good!"
Well he talked me into trying it even though I was so apprehensive about it. Below is the result that we ended up with.
Can you believe it? Doesn't it look absolutely delicious? Let me tell you, it was amazing. Honestly {and we will both say this} it was the best Chicken Cacciatore we've made. That's saying a lot, because we are both awesome cooks if I do say so myself! We just added the chicken strips to a mixture of store bought pasta sauce, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and all the right spices.
I am so absolutely pleasantly surprised with Tyson Grilled & Ready Frozen Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Strips that I can't wait to try more recipes with them. It's definitely an easy fix!
Buy It!
You can buy Tyson Grilled & Ready Frozen Fully Cooked Chicken in the freezer section at your local grocer. There is a product locator in the last link I provided in case you have troubles finding it at your store.
Wordless Wednesday - Livin' the Good Life
Sorry, but there's no way this weeks photo can be wordless. Gunner thinks he's the king of the house. Can you tell? The recliner is his favorite place to sleep. As you can see, he even snuggled himself right around the blanket to stay extra warm and cozy. Of course, my good girl is fine with sleeping on the floor below him :)
Despicable Me Blu-ray/DVD Movie Review
"In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences and flowering rose bushes sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden deep beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by an army of mischievous little minions, we discover Gru (Steve Carell) planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon (Yes, the moon!) in Universal’s new 3-D CGI feature, Despicable Me.
Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. That is, until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.
One of the world’s greatest super-villains has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes."
I just knew this movie would be a hit with my family the minute I saw the previews for it. We were actually supposed to attend a pre-screening of it, but were unable to make it to the theater the day it was showing. We were all pretty bummed out about that.
Then my review copy came and everyone was happy again! We all sat down and watched Despicable Me and I don't know if I've ever heard such laughter come from the kids. It was the absolute silly make your cheeks hurt kind of laughter. Their laughter even had me going for awhile there!
Despicable Me is a hilarious movie and one that's great for the whole family. We {the grown ups} enjoyed it as much as the kids did. My teenage brothers liked it as well. It's perfect for all ages!
Buy It!
You can buy Despicable Me (Three-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy) for$28.99 on Amazon.com.
Meet the New Writers!
I'd like to introduce you all to the great new writers that joined my team here at Outnumbered 3 to 1. These ladies are all absolutely wonderful and I just know you're going to love them! Each of the ladies has something great to contribute here and they've each written a short introduction of themselves. Please take a moment to check out what they have to say. Don't forget to leave a comment welcoming them!
Meet Farrah who will be doing reviews. She has twin baby boys and a 2 year old boy. She knows just how I feel being an outnumbered mama herself! She also writes at The Three Under, so make sure to check her out!
I am a 35 year old mom living in my own ‘Outnumbered’ world! I have a two year old and three month old twins. All boys. I think my training and experience as a 9th grade teacher have really helped me prepare for this insanity! I taught in the years leading up to having my first son, and I have been home since. Just like the rest of us I have good days, bad days, and ‘epic fail’ days as a SAHM.
I consider myself a hybrid-mom of sorts. Finding a balance is what makes life work within our crazy family, so we take things that we like and tailor them to fulfill our needs. For example- we cloth diaper, but also use disposables. I breastfeed, but also supplement. We didn’t cosleep, but we did share our room with the twins up until last week. I feel that we all have an opportunity to do things that enhance our own parenting styles which can be (and should be) as unique as our children. I don’t think it is fair to judge anyone else for the way that they do things. I’m really excited to contribute to this blog and hopefully encourage moms (and dads) to do what works for them. I want to find products to recommend (and giveaway) that will help make life easier!
Meet Amanda who will be contributing a weekly recipe post and reviews. She has 2 boys ages 2 and 13 so she's another outnumbered mama! Amanda shares her great writing style at inRandom. Go show her some love!
My name is Amanda. I'm a 30 year old Homemaker and Stay at Home mom of two beautiful (insane) boys, 13 and 2. I've been married to my high-school obsession for almost 3 years and he still makes me feel like a giddy 15 year old girl. I fancy myself a writer and have been blogging or writing articles for websites for almost 11 years. I was a single career Mom turned married home Mom so I've had the best of both worlds. Currently I spend most of my time singing Sesame Street for my 2 year old.
I started baking when I was 11 and cooking scratch at 12. I come from a line of women that took great pride in the ability to cook from scratch and woe to the woman who used boxed mashed potatoes! I love playing in my kitchen. I love the feel of a smooth aged wooden rolling pin and the burn in my wrist after whisking. I love the smell of the sun on ripe fruits plucked from the farmers market and the first taste, the very first taste of a meal cooked with love that I can take pride in. In my family my great, great Grandmother's one handled rolling pin was revered as the symbol of the woman chosen out of her sisters to be the best cook. I was blessed to be given it on Christmas of 2006 passed down from my Mother and her Mother and so on. I'm very excited and honored to have been picked amongst the other fine writers to share reviews and a weekly recipe with you!
Meet Ashley who will be sharing weekly deals and reviews. She doesn't have children, but loves her fur babies! She also blogs at Become a Coupon Queen where she shares awesome deals. Maybe I'll even learn some coupon tricks from her and if you read her blog, then you will too!
My name is Ashley. I grew up in a very small town in Michigan where I had a graduating class of like 35. It is the type of town where everyone knows everyone. I married my high school sweetheart who I have known since early grade school. He is a few years older than me and rode my school bus in elementary school. I remember thinking he was a complete jerk. It is funny how we grow up and your whole perspective of things change and you fall madly in love with the "jerk" on your school bus.
My husband and I really had plans of settling down and living out our entire lives in the area we grew up. Somewhere along the way we grew restless and bored with our lives and on a whim decided we were ready to pack up and head out to see the rest of the world. We ended up in Kansas city, MO and stayed there for 2 1/2 years. During that time I put my husband through college and after he graduated in May 2010 he was offered a job in Wichita, KS so we packed up and moved again last September. So here we are in Kansas now. Some day we plan to move again to possibly Idaho or maybe New Mexico. I actually enjoy moving. I love the adventure of it all; meeting new people, seeing new places and exploring our new surroundings. My family thinks I am crazy but we love our adventurous life.
I have 3 very spoiled dogs and 2 fat kitties. I am very feminine but not afraid to get dirty. I love to do "guy" things like go fishing, ride 4-wheelers, hunting with my husband and camping. I like to collect weird things like buttons and rocks. I love house plants, taking pictures and cooking. My high heels are my best friend and I feel naked without mascara! I am also a civil cad technician on a hiatus. I found myself jobless due to my recent move so with my husband's prompting and encouragement I finally decided to take on the role of blogger which I absolutely love. I discovered the power of coupons while trying to make ends meet when I was the sole bread winner while my husband attended college. I love sharing my good deals and giving people the knowledge to cut their grocery bills in half. I grew up with my parents barely making ends meet most of the time and they had to be very frugal out of necessity so it is a way of life for me that has followed into my adulthood. You could give me a millon dollars and I would still use coupons and only buy off of the clearance racks.
Meet Jill who will  be sharing a weekly craft project and reviews. She has twin 7 year old daughters and a 9 year old boy so we'll see some girl stuff in the mix around here now! Jill does book reviews at Seaside Book Nook and maintains a crafty blog at Peace, Love & Scrapbooking. Stop by one {or both} and check her out!
I am Jill from western NY. I absolutely love crafts and have been crafting since I was 8 years old. I am an accountant by day and use the other side of my brain at night! I love to make cards and scrapbooks, create paper projects, knitting, cross-stitching and reading. I wish I had more time to "play" with my projects, but real life comes first. My crafting blog is www.peaceandscrapbooking.blogspot.com and my book review blog is www.seasidebooknook.blogspot.com. I would love for you to become a follower and leave me comments. I love sharing with others all the things I stumble across! I have been married to my wonderful husband for 16 years. I have three children, one son and twin daughters.
Dremel 8300-01 12-Volt Cordless Multi-Max Oscillating Kit Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}
Tools are a man's best friend. Well, at least they are to my guy. He gets an instant smile on his face anytime that we walk into the tool aisle at a store. The power tools especially perk him up. I make jokes about it too, jokes that I can't say here on my blog.
When I found out I would be getting the Multi-Max cordless oscilating tool from Dremel, I was totally giddy. I knew I would be his hero for at least a day. I'm telling you ladies, tools are one of the ways to a man's heart.
"The Dremel 8300 variable-speed cordless Multi-Max oscillating tool offers the power and freedom to take your Multi-Max anywhere. With fast side-to-side motion, the Multi-Max can take on a variety of projects that involve repair, remodeling, or restoration. Powered by 12VMAX Lithium-ion battery technology.
* Repair. Remodel. Restore. Unplugged.™
* Optimal Control. Safe Operation. High Precision. Minimal Dust.
* For cutting, grinding, sanding, scraping and grout removal."
Let me tell you, this tool came in handy a couple of weeks ago! The paint on our kitchen ceiling started cracking and peeling away one day. It was not so bad, so we were waiting for the neighbor to come and fix it since he knows all that kind of stuff. Well it couldn't happen soon enough because one day pieces just started peeling off and hitting the floor.
Then it was time to take matters into our own hands and start getting all the loose paint that we could off so it wouldn't continue to fall. Scrapers were working all right, but then the Man remembered he had the Multi-Max cordless tool. That made all the difference and peeled it away with ease and very little effort.
The great thing about this tool, is that it has a number of attachments for different uses and comes with a high-capacity 12V MAX Lithium-ion battery for longer run times. There are actually 2 batteries included with this so you really don't ever have to worry about running out of juice as long as you charge them accordingly! It's nicely organized in a hard plastic case for easy accessibility and storage.
We're always looking for ways to save some money and ways to do things ourselves. Here are Dremels' Top Five Money-Saving Winter Projects.
There's also a list of crafts and projects that you can use this tool for. I found the Terra Cotta Patio Lights project and I bookmarked the page so that I can make these over the winter. I just adore them! Terra cotta pots are so inexpensive that I can make these for next to nothing and they will look amazing on my deck. I can even plaint them whatever color I want to match my decor.
Buy It!
You can buy the Dremel 8300-01 12-Volt Cordless Multi-Max Oscillating Kit for $123.91 at Amazon.com, saving over $25!
Family Game Night 3 for Wii Video Game Review
"In Family Game Night 3, discover endless family fun at the Family Game Night Theme Park!
Spin the wheel of fate in the GAME OF LIFE, find out “whodunit” in CLUE, get your groove on with TWISTER, trigger crazy chain reactions in MOUSE TRAP, or try your hand at YAHTZEE HANDS DOWN.
Enjoy classic and remixed versions of your favorite games, play with your own customized avatar, and challenge family and friends in online multiplayer (360 & PS3)!"
My kids are video game maniacs. Well really, we all kind of are. Yes, I definitely get into gaming. If you ask me, I think that makes the Man a very lucky guy because I don't complain about his gaming time very often, definitely not as much as your average girlfriend/wife!
Family Game Night 3 is just how it sounds, an array of games for the family to play together. Clue, Life and Yahtzee are some of my favorite games and playing them on the Wii with the family is so much fun. Although I do admit that I have an addiction to Yahtzee. I play that one all by myself sometimes!
The kids have a blast playing Mouse Trap. I'd have to say that one is their favorite. The Man especially loves Clue.
That variety of the games on this one disk is what really makes it great. There's entertainment for the entire family, instead of a game that just one of us likes.
Buy It!
You can buy Hasbro Family Game Night 3 for $36.54 on Amazon.com.
Social Networking and Your Kids - TrueCare Reveals Top 20 Words Most Often Triggering Alerts Among Parents
Do your kids use social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Myspace?
Mine do and I monitor their online activity. Our computer room is wide open into the living room, so we're all still together even if they're online. I walk up the the computers constantly just to see what they are doing. I know their passwords and I have access to their accounts. They know this too.
I think it is very important to know what your kids are doing, online and off. If you're not paying attention, who will?
I'm sure you've heard the recent news stories about cyber bullying. Some even turn fatal. That is not acceptable! More attention needs to be paid in what our children are doing.
TrueCare just revealed the Top 20 Words Most Often Triggering Alerts Among Parents.  Here they are:
1.    HATE (bullying/racism)
2.    PARTY (alcohol/drugs)
I've Chosen New Writers!
It's official. I've chosen a few ladies to contribute here a Outnumbered 3 to 1. I've chosen four to be exact!
Yes, I know I must be crazy! But you don't even know how hard it was to narrow it down to those four. I wish I could have chose them all, but that would have definitely been crazy!
This will be a busy weekend because the Man's birthday is tomorrow. However, early next week I will be formally introducing you all to these wonderful ladies. I am excited to have them join me and I know you will love them and the great things that we have in store for you!
Thanks for bearing with me through all of this. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Aloha Friday - New Years Resolutions
Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that you take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question this week is:
Did you make any New years resolutions? Have you kept them so far?
I didn't even make any this year. I'm horrible at keeping them!
