Winchell Mountain Coffee Review & Giveaway - Red Hot Valentine's Gifts! {CLOSED}

The smell of coffee in the morning, freshly ground and brewing, is one I have woken up to my entire life. I have a deep affection for coffee, for the memory and for the lingering dawn bliss that I meet every morning before my day begins. I view coffee as one of the best gifts to give for any special moment. It is a conversation starter, a dessert sipper and a testament to a lasting moment.

I was given the opportunity to review The Boynton Collection from Winchell Mountain Coffee; a collection created by Sandra Boynton and Bob Rivkin. You may have seen Sandra Boynton's work, actually while doing this review I ran across one of her illustrated cartoons at the Library! And now her delightful, vivid characters have inspired the conversation cup with a hint of amusement.

I have been having an extraordinary time reviewing a handful of these amazing coffees. Winchell Mountain Coffee is an excellent shop for coffees in and of themselves, but the creation of Sandra Boynton and legendary master roaster Bob Rivkin really brightens up the cup! The Valentine's Day Affectionate Blend is very smooth. It reminds me of a compromise between couples who like both a heavy dark espresso and also a light airy blend; mix it with a little cream and sugar and you have something akin to a dessert. Beautiful. Certainly the perfect cup for a couple, however I think the WIDE AWAKE blend was made for Moms.

I must admit that I also ground the Valentine's Blend into very fine espresso powder and made my husband his favorite Americano's in our Espresso maker and it turned out fabulously! Just in case you want to test that out for yourselves. It also works great with Cappuccino's so you can still partner with your significant other over something a little more than a light brew.
