Soap Making Versus Soap Crafting: What’s the Difference?
Soap making is done from scratch using oils, liquids and lye. Melt and pour soap is already made and therefore it’s crafted into another shape, color, scent, etc. Someone else made the melt and pour soap base from scratch and you can alter it.
This book is a great reference for both beginners and veterans of soap crafting. Lisa begins the book explaining the equipment, techniques and even what not to do that is necessary for you to be successful. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow and ring loudly of her years of soap crafting experience.
The recipes section of the book is awesome, there is a huge collection of recipes and a photo with every one of them. My favorite section is the shampoo bars, I am definitely making these and some of the other recipes for myself and gifts. If you love all those pretty soaps that you see out there, you should check this out and try making your own.
You can buy the “The Joy of Melt and Pour Soap Crafting” for $4.99.
