Since moving into our house last year, I have been excited about getting a vegetable garden going. There is a large garden area already there, we just had to get it in shape since it was neglected for over a year. The planting season was over by the time we got into this house last year, so the garden just sat there looking ugly. Thanks to this beautiful March weather and Sun Joe, we're off to a great start already!

Sun Joe sent me the Tiller Joe TJ600E 6.5 AMP Electric Garden Tiller/Cultivator for my review. I was quite excited to check it out for a number of reasons. Owning our own tiller means that we don't have to rent one of those big and heavy ones from the hardware store. That's a huge bonus because each year, something always seemed to go wrong with the one we would rent. Last summer {for my FIL's garden}, it was the tire. Yes, the tire fell off! Now if you've seen those big bulky ones, you know that the tire is needed!

Having a tiller of our own also means that we can do projects at our pace, instead of the 8 hour time-frame you're given when you rent one. Just three rentals will pay for the Tiller Joe TJ600E 6.5 AMP Electric Garden Tiller/Cultivator, so it pays for itself after 3 uses, not too bad!

Once our tiller arrived, everyone was excited to check it out. The guys had it together and using it before I even got back from the store, so unfortunately I wasn't able to get any assembly photos. They did assure me that it was pretty simple and easy to assemble though.

The Tiller Joe TJ600E 6.5 AMP Electric Garden Tiller/Cultivator is so lightweight that even I can control it by myself! I'm not a weak girl, but those bulky ones we used to rent were hard to use! We all went to a baby shower last weekend and my FIL actually tilled some of my flower garden while we were gone too! I was quite impressed because he has COPD and uses oxygen daily, so he doesn't do much when it comes to physical activity. He used the Tiller Joe TJ600E 6.5 AMP Electric Garden Tiller/Cultivator with ease and did not have one issue with breathing during or after!

There's an area on the front/side of the house that is the walkway to the backyard. The previous owners didn't take care of it do it was just a patch of dirt, without any grass. We bought some seed a few days ago, so decided to till this area on Sunday while we were hanging out in the yard.

Of course Lil Man wanted in on the action after dad, so he got a chance. It's amazing how lightweight and easy the Tiller Joe TJ600E 6.5 AMP Electric Garden Tiller/Cultivator is for even a 10 year old!

We got the garden tilled, my wildflower garden tilled and that large area on the side of the house tilled/grass seed planted. I'm impressed with the easy use, lightweight feel and quality of the Tiller Joe TJ600E 6.5 AMP Electric Garden Tiller/Cultivator. Our neighbors and friends were quite impressed as well and one actually plans to go buy one!
