Join us all Spring and Summer long for some great product finds for these awesome seasons. Of course we'll have tons of great prizes for you to win too so make sure to subscribe to our blog to stay in the loop!

DOLE is grilling it up this Summer with an amazing chance to win an All-Expenses Paid Trip to Hollywood where you can compete in the 2012 California Cook-Off for a chance to win the Cook-Off Champion Title and $10,000!

Are you a fan of small plates? Do you have a special recipe that incorporates a DOLE product and has your family and friends drooling and asking for more? If so, what are you waiting for?! Submit your taste bud teaser for the DOLE 2012 California Cook-Off recipe contest at www.facebook.com/dole and if you’re chosen, pack your swimsuit and shades and head to sunny L.A! As a finalist, you’ll enjoy 4 days/3 nights in Hollywood, where you’ll prepare your delectable DOLE dish in a head-to-head competition with other finalists at celebrity haven, The Grove, in front of a live audience and a panel of prestigious judges led by renowned celebrity chef, Ben Ford.

Let me tell you a little about DOLE. They may be the largest producer and marketer of high quality fruits and vegetables, but they're also a family name that has been around since 1851. Which I personally find phenomenal. As a business leader in nutrition education and research, DOLE does business with over 90 countries and employees hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.

I've been using DOLE fruits and vegetables in my cooking for as long as I can remember, in fact, I'm sure most of you do as well. I have always loved the fact that their fruits (the ones that come in the jars) are in 100% fruit juice instead of sugar water; which makes an incredible difference. Their Pineapples have graced everything from our Easter Hams and summer shish-ka-bobs to smoothies and fruit snacks for the kids. We always have their peaches for a side dish for lunches and/or dinner and have never used anyone else. DOLE has been very straightforward with news on Health, Nutrition and Men - Women's - Children's Health topics and they are just a company we could always trust to give us good products. That's what I mean by they are a family name, they're a brand that is well known in people's homes because we trust them to be there.

The DOLE California Cook-Off challenge sounds like a lot of fun! All you have to do is make an original starter or appetizer recipe using at least one of DOLE's ingredients and submit the recipe on their Facebook Page App. The winner gets an All-Expenses paid trip to Hollywood to compete to win the Cook-Off Champion Title AND $10,000! OR, if you don't want to submit a recipe you can enter to be a Fan Judge! The winner of the Fan Judge contest gets an All-Expenses paid trip to go and help Judge the contest with Chef Ben Ford (one of the celebrity Judges)!

To help you out, DOLE gave us the opportunity to have a giveaway wherein one of our readers will win coupons for Free DOLE products to help them along with their recipe! The contest ends on May 25th, so you'll have a month to figure out the best starter or appetizer you can! That's plenty of time. Plus, I'm sure your families will love you playing around with the DOLE fruits for fun dishes!

Connect: You can connect with DOLE and enter your Recipe or to become a Fan Judge on Facebook, and follow along with the DOLE Cookoff with the Twitter Hashtag #DoleCookoff and/or follow @DoleFoods.
