Nonnis Biscotti Review & Giveaway - Springing Into Summer Fun {CLOSED}

Nonni’s Biscotti grew out of true Italian tradition. In the little town of Lucca, Italy along narrow cobbled lanes surrounded by elegant piazzas, our Nonni (an endearing term for Grandma) made biscotti to share with family and friends. When Nonni came to America, almost a century ago, she brought the family recipe with her. To this day, the same family recipe using real eggs, butter and gourmet bittersweet chocolate is still used to give our biscotti a light, crunchy texture that is delicately sweet. My favorite indulgence is cookies. There is just something amazing about the sweet treat that I can never say no to. But, when I have a nice, steaming cup of coffee, there is only one type of cookie that will do, a nice, heavy biscotti! Any time I have a hot drink around, there is usually a sweet biscotti not too far from my hand. 

Nonni's Biscotti is the most popular selling biscotti on the market, usually found on your nearest grocers shelf. Derived from Italian for "twice baked", these elongated dunking cookies are made with real eggs and butter, along with gourmet bittersweet chocolate and other ingredients. I received two different types to try, the Gingerbread Almond and Nonni's newest creation, Almond Dark Chocolate Biscotti Bites. Between the two, the Gingerbread Almond was my favorite. But, I have a holiday sweet tooth! The taste was spicy and sweet, with just the right amount of creamy frosting on top. The biscotti was packed full of slivered almonds, making it easy to bite through and offer just enough crunch to bring a satisfied smile to my face. My favorite part was snapping one into two pieces each morning and savoring each bite with a cup of dark, black coffee. Nonni's biscotti soaks up just the perfect amount of liquid, to avoid being soggy and turns breakfast or break time into an induldgent treat.

The Almond Dark Chocolate bites were amazing as well. The perfect two bite snack, I felt good about giving one to Sonshine in the middle of the day as a treat instead of a regular cookie or another sweet, sugar treat. With only 40 calories per bite, I don't risk ruining his lunch or dinner. And, you can throw a few into a baggie to take to the park, work, school, or even to the ball game!

Thanks to Nonni's Biscotti, the once rare Italian treat is available year round to anyone craving a crispy, crunchy, chunky cookie to dip into their coffee or tea. It's like a mini-vacation to Italy with each bite.
