We enjoy to cook around here and we’re always trying new things. When I heard about Veri Peri sauces, I was intrigued. They sounded like something I would enjoy cooking with and I just knew Lil Man would enjoy their “hot” and “veri hot” sauces.
The wonderful people over at Veri Peri were so sweet to let me try all 5 flavors for my family. I was quite impressed and even a lil bit giddy when I opened up my package and saw all of the stuff in the image above lying inside! There was a notebook, stickers, magnets and a nice little personalized card lying on top of all of the sauces! It was like my birthday!
Underneath all the special stuff for me were a set of all 5 Veri Peri sauces! I couldn’t wait to dig in and try them all.
The Man and Lil Man are big hot sauce fans so they dug in almost right away and tried the “hot” then “very hot” flavors on some crackers. I know, sounds a little bit odd, doesn’t it? That’s my family for you, what can I say! I’m happy to share that they enjoyed the sauces though!
Of course, I had to put the sauces to the real test, so I tried the garlic sauce over some chicken. I poured it on before sticking the pan in the oven so the flavor cooked with the meat. It smelled so good even before it came out of the oven that I couldn’t wait to dig in! Once the chicken was done, I made my plate, tasted a bite and fell in love! The chicken was so delicious, so much yummier than any plain chicken I had ever made! Every bite was just absolutely delicious.
My brother is a really picky eater and I am happy to announce that he really enjoyed the chicken too! The boys demolished both of the hot sauces over the last few weeks and I plan to make some porkchops this week with the Lemon and Herb sauce.
