Banana Boat Party & 101 Day of Summer Play Pledge & Prize Pack Giveaway! {CLOSED}

When I hear Banana Boat, I immediately think of sun care. It's important to protect your skin in the sun and this brand has been around for quite some time. They carry a number of different products including sunscreen, tanning lotion/oil and lip treatments.

Banana Boat would like you to get your kids outside this summer, so they've created a 101 Days of Summer Play Pledge where they're encouraging you to get your kids outside every day this summer instead of sitting on the couch all day playing video games. I took the pledge, will you?

I was one of the lucky people selected to host a 101 Days of Summer Play Party through Mom Central. They provided me with everything that I would need to create some great gift bags for my guests. I assembled each bag with the tools they provided me with; a gift bag, tissue paper, sticker and $1 off coupon. I attached the little blue ribbon just to make them look nicer and filled the bags with a bottle of Banana Boat Sunscreen, a Banana Boat branded frisbee and some candy.

My mother in law and sister in law were the first to arrive for our party. I gave them their gift bags, they opened them up and were quite intrigued to see a bottle of sunscreen inside. Being a warm, sunny day, this was most definitely needed!

It got really warm out so we decided to put the sunscreen to the test and go out on the boats!

The big kids had a fun time riding on the hot dog!

The day before my party, I went out on the boat and burned really bad. It was not a smart idea to go into the water without sunscreen. So this time I made sure to take some with us and everyone put some on. We made sure to be extra generous with the really little girls. I'm happy to say that nobody got sunburn that day!

Everyone was really impressed with the new Banana Boat Natural Reflect Sunscreen Lotion. It goes on great and doesn't carry that nasty scent that I'm used to with sunscreens.

I think so many of us take sun protection for granted. I admit, I am totally guilty of it too. But when you do get too much sun and feel that nasty burn, just imagine the harm that it did to your skin. Summertime is a season full of fun in the sun, so just be prepared with sunscreen in hand!

During my party, I asked my guests what they like to do for fun. Some of them had the same answers, but I'll list the top 5 below.

There are a lot of activities that you can do outdoors with your family. You can do any of the above or even just head out to your neighborhood park for some fun and a picnic. I know my family enjoys spending a lot of time right in our backyard. We'll play basketball, football, frisbee, volleyball and a bunch of other fun games. So get your family off the couch and outside for some fun this summer!
