Copy-Kids is a media company producing video that encourages positive habits in young children, by watching and copying other kids. Copy-Kids unique content — DVD, online and TV — helps parents get their children hooked on healthy and positive habits. Produced for children aged 6 months to 5 years, Copy-Kids innovative video is fun and compelling for both children and parents.
Over the past year, Sonshine's eating habits have gone from the pickiest in the world, to, pickiest in this side of the Mason-Dixon line. On the rare occasion, he'll venture out from just eating fruit and yogurt to attempting a bite of a beef hotdog or pasta with red sauce on it! I fell out of my chair the first time he asked for 'cow milk' without chocolate in it! All kidding aside, the kid does have a pretty good eating habit, but he still lacks in one department, vegetables.

Copy-Kids tomato view
Tomatoes look yummy to Sonshine now!
Copy-Kids is a dvd devised to help children ages 5 and under (although, I know some adults who might benefit from it as well) to enjoy their fresh fruits and veggies more. The beauty of the dvd is the simplicity of it. It is divided into twelve chapters, six fruits and six veggies, with each chapter running between six and eight minutes. During that time, only one item is focused on and several children are shown eating said fruit or veggie. Some of the kids eat quietly, while others talk about the food.

Copy-Kids Blueberry ChapterSounds simple, right? It is! And it really works! I put the dvd in and the main page pops up with colorful and large food items. I asked Sonshine to pick out which he wanted to learn about first and he pointed to tomato. I wish we had one on hand at the time, because Sonshine became engrossed in what he saw. We talked about tomatoes and what he thought they might taste like, ("maybe like cherries mommy?") before moving on to another chapter. We then watched strawberries and then blueberries, each time, Sonshine went straight to the fridge and grabbed the corresponding item, happily munching along with the kids on the t.v. This is a great tool, if you're like us, and have only a singleton in the house as well as younger kids whose older siblings are iffy about their fruits and veggies too!

Check out this video offering a glimpse into the dvd and why it's so great from a doctor's view point:

Help make healthy and fun eating habits for your munchkins, look for the Copy-Kids dvd, because children learn best from other children!

She is only 8 1/2 months old so she will eat any of the baby food given to her. I will say the bananas didn't sit well with her stomach for some reason.

My 2 year old is really picky about table food, but when he sees his friends eating, he will sometimes try it. This DVD would be perfect for him!
