National Peanut Board has provided me with some tips to share on fun ways to get the whole family involved this Father's Day.
- Don’t break the bank. When choosing décor, keep it simple or consider creating your own. Before heading to the grocery store, check the pantry for items that will bring flavor and nutrition. Adding peanut butter to Dad’s favorite breakfast dishes is not only budget-friendly, but with more protein than any other nut, it really delivers a nutritional bang for your buck.
- Include your little ones. Children enjoy getting involved more than simply watching an activity. Encourage them to add their own creative ideas for the meal and activities of the morning.
- Make it a tradition. Hosting a Father’s Day breakfast annually will create long-lasting memories that the entire family can cherish and pass on to the next generation.
To help get you started on menu planning, the National Peanut Board has shared 4 easy and delicious breakfast recipes to get you started. You can vote for your favorite recipe and America’s peanut farmers will donate $5 (up to $10,000) to non-profits that provide breakfast to the needy.
