I don’t know about you, but I absolutely despise doing dishes. I always have. When we added 3 more people to our household a year ago, my hatred for dishes became even worse. Luckily I had help at times, but when I had to do a full load, it was just insanity! Then one day my aunt called and said that she had a dishwasher for us. I felt like I was on cloud 9 and just so excited to have one again!
Contrary to popular belief, dishwashers just don’t do the job that hand washing does. This is especially true with the well water that we have. It’s not exactly crystal clear and washing in the dishwasher often leaves a yucky residue on my glasses. I found this out when my grandma stopped by to see the new house a few months ago and I offered her something to drink. I went to get a glass full of ice for a bottle of water {it was warm} and noticed the glass didn’t look very clean. Of course I couldn’t serve her drink in a dirty glass, so I washed it. But could you imagine is I hadn’t noticed? Yuck!
