Last week I announced my participation in the Pin the Halls with HP program. As you can imagine, I’ve been quite the busy girl this week, trying out all of my new toys!
Of course I’ve played around with the laptop, that’s a given. I think everyone else in this house has too. I swear, if I’m not on it, they’re fighting over who gets to use it! I’ve also been playing around with the HP Holiday Website and printing out fun photos to share with family and friends during the holidays.
Here’s an awesome one that I did with one of my favorite shots of Lil Man. The photo turned out amazing using the HP Holiday Value Pack. However my photo of that photo did not, so I am sharing a screenshot instead. There are so many great printable ideas on the HP site and I can’t wait to explore it even more after the holiday craziness is over with!
Earlier this week some great HP products were featured on the Rachel Ray show! The HP Envy 120 Printer, Holiday Value Pack and HP.com/Holiday were among those features on the December 17th showing, where Rachel Ray and Regis Philbin surprised an audience of Hurricane Sandy victims. Rachel and Regis gave them early holiday presents that included the ENVY 120, a SpaFinder gift card, and a gift card from The Container Store! Take a minute to watch the video above. It’s really heartwarming!

What I really want to share with you though, is the HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4t-1100. This little baby sure is something else! I feel so tech savvy owning one, although I certainly am not that up to speed. My husband falls into that category better than I do, so he’s kind of been helping me along the way. It’s even resulted in some joking that it’s his new laptop since I barely even know how to use it. Well the joke’s on him, because this girl is not giving it up!
All joking aside, it really is a nice little machine. I absolutely love the touch screen feature and that there is a keyboard right on the screen too.You just hit the little icon to bring it up and/or to minimize it. I find myself using the touch screen more often that not just because it’s so much more convenient than having to click around with the pointer. My finger is just faster!
The graphics and sound quality of this laptop is just amazing. I’ve missed the last 2 weeks of Vampire Diaries {yes, I’m a vampire junkie!} so I watched them on this from their website. It was like watching on the TV; everything, including the sound was crystal clear. My guys are all big gamers, so they can’t wait to try their games on this little machine.
One of my favorite features is the light up keyboard. If you look closely in the image, you can see the light around each key. I just love this feature because I can still see what I’m doing even in a dimly lit or dark room. It came in handy while The Man was doing the floors because he stole the light out of the computer room!
The performance speed of the HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4t-1100 just great. I think it might be even faster than my desktop! Being a blogger, speed is definitely a high priority. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get something done on a slow machine. I want snappiness, pages popping up the second that I click on them; and that’s what this baby promises me every time!
Of course, the web cam is the kids’ favorite feature. They play with it nonstop. There’s some program that allows them to make these crazy silly faces in photos in video. They’re been sharing them with my silly cousin who lives out of state, hilarious! I’m on Skype quite often, via text chat only, so I’m quite excited to chat with my aunt in Canada and my cousins via the webcam. Can you believe that I’ve never used one yet? That will be a whole new experience!
I’ve only had the HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4t-1100 for about a week and this has been the busiest week with all of the holiday happenings, so I haven’t been able to play around as much as I would have liked. But rest assured, because I’ll be back soon to share lots more about it!
