THE CROODS is a 3D comedy adventure that follows the world’s first modern family through the journey of a lifetime. When the cave that has always been their home is destroyed ? with the rest of their world not far behind it ? The Croods are forced to set off on the first family road (or path) trip. Rocked by generational clashes and seismic shifts, The Croods discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures, and a future beyond any they imagined.

| Meet the first “dysfunctional” family |
The Croods is the newest movie out from DreamWorks Studios featuring the world’s first modern family, forced into the world’s first road trip. With the end of the world looming, the ever cautious Grug (Nicolas Cage) must overcome his mantra of “fear is good: change is bad” in order to keep his large family safe! His loving wife Ugga (Catherine Keener) and son Thunk (Clark Duke) are more than willingly to go with the flow, but it’s Eep (Emma Stone), the consequential teen daughter that is ready to break the mold and start living life! With the help of the charismatic new guy, Guy (Ryan Reynolds), The Croods set off on the adventure of a lifetime!
The movie takes place during the Croodaceaus Period, which, according to DreamWorks historians, is between the Jurassic and Katzeozoic Eras. We get to witness a bunch of “firsts” along with the family, such as fire, cell phones, and even belts. Okay, so, Belt (Chris Sanders) is a sloth that Guy wears around his waist. He’s still my little guys favorite character due to the saying, “da-da-daaaaaaaa!”
The Croods comes to theaters on March 22nd, 2013 and promises to be great family fun! My three and a half year old is very excited to see the movie opening weekend and will be brining his own stuffed plush of Belt with him! Want to win your own Belt and movie theater poster? Look for details below!
