We have all heard and read that we should use everything that we possibly can that is BPA free for our kiddos. This is especially important for babies and toddlers since they use bottles and sippy cups so much. Almost all the products you see out there today are listed as BPA free and that is all great and good but many have plastic component parts and with plastic you can never be too careful.
I was very recently introduced to Pura Kiki and their line of baby bottles and toddler sippy cups.
They are the only 100% plastic-free feeding solution on the global market.
Pura bottles are non-toxic and truly 100% BPA-free. All bottles,
components, and accessories are independently tested by a leading global
testing lab and certified to have no detectable levels of Bisphenol-a
(BPA), lead, phthalates or nitrosamines.
The second I received them and opened them up I was blown away by how nice these things are. They are such nice quality and makes my current sippy cups seem so cheap and flimsy in comparison.
Lil Sis is 18 months old and is at the sippy cup stage. These sippy cups are pretty sweet and made with 100% medical grade silicone.
All Pura products feature stainless steel lids, caps and/or infant
nipple/spout collars in combination with medical grade silicone so the
contents of the bottle are NEVER in contact with plastic and therefore
there is zero chance of ingesting BPA or other petroleum-derived toxins.
Since the cap is silicone is sort of slips on snugly and basically makes it impossible to slip off accidentally which also means no leaky sippy cups in my diaper bag. Still keep it upright though since the cap can get full of the drink and spill all over you when you pull it off.
Lil Sis immediately took to it and loves having her drinks in it. It is now our go to sippy cup. I wish I had another 6 of them so I could throw out every single sippy cup I currently own…they are really that nice.
Once your little one outgrows their bottle and sippy cups just insert the sealing disk and make it a snack carrier. Honestly this is a feature that just makes me love these products even more. Big Sis has long since outgrown sippy cups but she always needs snacks on the go. Illustrations tell it best:
I can honestly say I wish I had these baby bottles when both my girls were younger. Although even at 18 months and 4.5 years my girls are using the snack cups and Lil Sis is liking her sippy cup (although not nearly as much as I love it).
All Pura products feature stainless steel lids, caps and/or infant
nipple/spout collars in combination with medical grade silicone so the
contents of the bottle are NEVER in contact with plastic and therefore
there is zero chance of ingesting BPA or other petroleum-derived toxins.
Just check out all the awards it has won.
Add in that these are 100% recyclable and you have the perfect “green” baby item. I can see these really taking off and I would love to see them in stores everywhere.
