Creamette is having an incredible contest right now for their 100th Birthday! As they are one of the key ingredients in many of our comfort foods, from casseroles to crockpots, they wanted to celebrate by having a Comfort Food Recipe & Essay Contest!
It is pretty simple. You share one of your comfort foods using Creamette Pasta with a memory and be entered for a chance to win $10,000! Who could pass that up?? I decided I would give it a shot and am practicing some recipes at the moment. Here is one that I wanted to share with all of you since I am sure many readers didn’t realize that Creamette Pasta is also great for Desserts!
Ingredients:
- 12oz of Creamette Small Egg Noodles
- 2 cups of Rice Crispies
- 6oz of Cream Cheese
- 3 Whisked Eggs
- 1/4 Cup of Marshmallow Whip
- 1/2 Cup of Sugar
- 1 Cup of Milk
- 1tsp of Vanilla Extract
- 1tbsp of Unsalted Butter
- Brown Sugar for Topping
Recipe Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven to 350′
- Cook the Egg Noodles as you normally would via the package.
- While the Egg Noodles are cooking, soften the Marshmallow Whip with the Cream Cheese in the Microwave in a big bowl.
- Add in the Eggs, Sugar, Milk and Vanilla and mix until smooth.
- Once the Egg Noodles are softened, slowly mix them into the mixture in the bowl until the noodles are well coated.
- Pour the whole mixture into a casserole dish.
- Top it off with the Rice Crispies and a little Brown Sugar.
- Melt the Butter and drizzle it over the top.
- Cook for 30min!
I am keeping my memories for my essay, but this is one of my favorite comfort foods. It has texture, sweetness that is light and fluffy and I just love it.
You can see above that entering is very simple and honestly, it is really heartwarming to remember the moments that we felt so blessed in our homes or our grandparents house smelling the warm scents from the kitchen.
