As a Kindergarten teacher I know that the first words that all children connect with are their names. It is intensely personal to them. They have ownership over that one special word, and they love it.
So when I had the opportunity to review the wonderful items at NameArt.com I was thrilled!
Do you remember as a kid going to buy one of those key chains that have the names on them? I do. I remember being SO sad that all the ones with Kristen on them were spelled wrong (I am an KristEn not a KristIn). I know my daughter, Simone (4), will probably never even FIND her name on one of these.
So she was THRILLED to get a big box of goodies with her name on them. She spends every evening at dinner tracing the letters of her name on the place mat. She carries her bookmark around with her all the time. And her name plate is in a place of honor at the dinner table. Too cute.
As a Mom I loved how easy the process was to create these works of art. Seriously, EASY. And so many choices! You can customize them down to what color hair or dress the fairy/mermaid/robot has. Amazing.
First, go to NameArt.com. Enter your child’s name and press GO!
Now choose your theme. Do you want Mermaids? Monsters? Fairies? Robots? They have all kinds!
You can preview the whole name in that theme and then choose from different letter styles. Don’t like it? Change it and see how that looks!
Now, once you have decided on a theme you can customize each letter. I mixed and matched the skin color and dresses of the different fairies. I love that I got to choose. I wanted to choose fairies that looked more like Simone and I wanted them in colors that would look nice in her bedroom. All of this took maybe 5 minutes. Mostly because I couldn’t decide what I liked best!
Once the name is complete you get to order the good stuff! They have bookmarks, sticker sets, place mats, posters, name plates. So many choices.
Here are a few of the finished products! Here we have the name plate, and the placemat! I am going to buy a nice frame for the poster print, it will look so cute in her room!
